1. Definition: The difference between the volume of boiled wort (20°C) and the volume of finished beer produced afterwards as a percentage of the volume (20°C) of the wort after boiling

2. Calculation formula:
                                    
Beer loss rate =    (  wort volume * 0.96 - finished beer)/  wort volume *0.96*100%
