Also, because the liquid in the mash tun contains solids, other heating methods are not suitable. Steam jacket heating has little resistance to liquid circulation in the pot, but high-pressure steam cannot be used, because the larger the diameter of the equipment, the greater the pressure generated by steam with the same pressure into the jacket wall, and the thickness must be increased. In order to avoid the jacket being too thick, only lower pressure steam is used. Generally, the pressure used for steam jacket heating does not exceed 0.25 MPa.
